Apple will probably increase the selling price of new iPhones launched this year, just like Samsung will increase the price of the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The source of LeaksApplePro confirms that the iPhone 14 will keep the same price as the iPhone 13, at $799, while the two high-end iPhone 14 Pro models will cost more than their predecessors.
iPhone 14 Pro Max will have a new price from $1,199 (on par with last year’s Galaxy S21 Ultra). The iPhone 14 Pro will cost the same as the iPhone 13 Pro Max, starting at $1,099.
The reason for the increase in the price of the iPhone Pro models can be related to the design changes and many other upgrades. According to many previously leaked sources, the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models may be changed to a new design with a punch-hole selfie camera. The Face ID sensors will also be changed and are partially hidden under the screen.
Thus, Apple is likely to launch 4 new iPhone models this year. The 6.1-inch iPhone 14 starts at $799, the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max starts at $899, the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro starts at $1,099, and the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max has, respectively. Prices start at $1,199.
This year, Apple will not launch a small-screen iPhone mini model. But there is the addition of the iPhone 14 Max version with a larger screen, the price is also higher than the regular iPhone 14. Therefore, the average price of the whole iPhone 14 series will be higher than the previous generation.
The source also noted that the price increase of the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models is still under consideration by Apple. However, in the context of semiconductor supply difficulties, escalating prices and rival Samsung also continuing to increase prices, it is very likely that Apple’s price increase will become a reality.
